Wet N Wild TV Show Collection & LA Girl 3D Hologram Polish

Wet N Wild TV Show Collection

I bought a few of the Wet N Wild fast dry polishes that were named after TV shows.  They are all glitter polishes with two of them having micro holographic glitter.  The only polish that doesn't have holographic glitter is the gold polish.  The colors are called Hannah Pinktana, Blue wants to be a Millionaire, and The gold and the beautiful. All of these polishes need a least 3 coats to look like the bottle.  They have almost a jelly like finish.

I also found another polish very similar to the Wet N Wild Holographic polishes.  This polish is from L.A. Girl called Purple Effect.  I know they have other colors from the 3D Hologram collection.  All it has in it to make it "3D" is that it has micro holographic glitter in it.  Its a much more opaque color that the Wet N Wild polishes, only needing one coat maybe 2 at the most.  I took a picture with all of the polishes together.  The Wet N Wild polishes were $1.29 and the L.A. Girl polish was $3.99.  I might have to check the price on the LA Girl polish but I do know it was a couple dollars more than the Wet N Wild (well worth the price).

Overall I think the LA Girl Holographic polish is a better choice even though its a little more pricey.  The LA Girl doesn't need as many coats and is much more opaque when applied to the nail.

Multi Colored Glitter Polishes......they are everywhere

Multi Colored Glitter Polishes

I seem to be finding more and more of the multi colored glitter polishes.  I love glitter polishes and I find it really easy to find dupes.  I have a post about the sinful colors and wet n wild collections, they are multi colored glitter in a colored base.  The other glitter polishes I have found are chunky glitters that are all colors of the rainbow.  The first multi glitter polish I seem to remember was with China Glaze Trapeze.  I'm gathering some of the multi colored glitter polishes for pictures but here is one that I just purchased called Confetti "Tazmanian Devil".  I also saw an exact dupe at the drugstore by Nicole by OPI "Confetti Fun".  The Confetti (Tazamanian Devil) polish was only $1.99 while Nicole by OPI seems to average around $7 in my area.  I held them both up at the drugstore and I could barely find a difference.  I also found a chunky multi colored glitter polish by Milani called "Gems" from their Jewel FX collection but that had more gold glitter in it than the other chunky multi colored polishes.

Nail Polish sale at Rite Aid

I was at one of my local Rite Aids and I noticed that they had an unmarked sale on Wet N Wild fast dry polishes.  The regular price (at least in my area) is $1.99 and it is marked down to $1.29.  So if you are at your Rite Aid take a look and see if the polishes in your area are marked down too.  I think this might be a permanent mark down because I didn't see this sale in the circular on Sunday.

Dupe Alert!

Dupe Alert!

I have another dupe that I ran into at the drugstore.  The colors are Sally Hansen Red Carpet and Milani Ruby Jewels.  I also noticed that China Glaze Ruby Pumps and Orly Star Spangled are also very similar polishes.  I included pictures of the polishes I have below.  I would get the Sally Hansen polish because that one is more opaque than the Milani polish.  You can't tell that well from the picture but these polishes are ruby red with small red glitter.  It reminds me of the Wizard of Oz and the Ruby slippers that Dorothy wore.

Update 6/11/2013: I was at a Rite Aid near me and found a polish by NYC for $.99 (I bought it for $.79 with my discount) and it was another dupe for these polishes.  I will post a picture tonight when I get home.  Its more like the Milani polish because its more like a lacquer and takes a few coats versus the Sally Hanson which you can pretty much use one coat and be okay.

I just don't understand buying a polish for more than $10 when you can find such cheap alternatives that really work.  If you are worried about chipping use a good basecoat and throw the polish in your purse that way you can do touch ups if you need too.  The only polish so far that I will spend $8 to $10 on is Orly.

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy Review & Pics

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy

I have recently purchased most of the Revlon moon candy nail art collection.  They have tons of other colors but this is just the moon candy collection.  Here is a picture of what I have below.

Left to Right:  Galactic, Eclipse, Supernova, Satellite, Milky Way

My favorite of the collection is Galactic.  I have 2 of these so I don't run out.  It reminds me of the night sky and the stars hence the name.  A few of the bads things about this polish is the amount of layers you have to put on and the drying time of the polish.  I like a lot of the art part on my nail so I have to layer it and it takes forever for it to fully dry and feel comfortable doing things with your hands.  I took a few pictures of my nails with the Galactic color on.

Thanks again for reading my blog :)
